Is there such a thing as an evil eye? Can you please explain it in your lecture?
Yes my dear, Nazar is burhaqq! That’s is why we say the Dua of protection from evil eye morning n evening azkaar w muawwazat, ayat ul kursi in it. There was an incident in Rasul ﷺ life. I will explain soon, please note it down and remind me. We will have a session on it in detail in sha Allah (God Willing)
Dear Ustazah, kindly tell me duas to remove depression in hard times.
May Allah swt ease your affairs, Have Tawwakul in Allah swt, know that there’s khair is everything. Tests are a means of cleansing, and an honor. Keep saying Tawwuz and these dua’s of extreme difficulty and in depression also.
اللّهُـمَّ لا سَـهْلَ إِلاّ ما جَعَلـتَهُ سَهـلاً، وَأَنْتَ تَجْـعَلُ الْحَـزَنَ إِذا شِـئْتَ سَهـْلاً
O’ Allah, there is no ease except in what You have made easy, and You make the difficulty, if You wish easeلا إله إلا الله العظيم الحليم، لا إله إلا الله رب العرش العظيم، لا إله إلا الله رب السماوات ورب الأرض ورب العرش الكريم” ((متفق عليه) . None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Incomparably Great, the Compassionate. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Lord of the Mighty Throne. None has the right to be worshipped but Allah the Lord of the heavens, the Lord of the earth, and the Lord of the Honourable Throne.” (Bukhari and Muslim)
Abu Bakr reported the following supplication for those who are distressed: “O Allah, I hope for Your mercy. Do not leave me even for the blink of an eye and correct my entire condition. Besides You there is none worthy of worship.”
حَسْبيَ اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِي
“Allah is sufficient for me and He is the Best Guardian.” (3:173)
I have many missed fasts from this Ramadan that I need to make up. If I need to make up those first, then how could I fast for the 6 in Shawwal?
My dear, you have to make up for missed fasts of Ramadan first and then fast 6 for Shawwal but if it’s difficult upon you, and you fear that you will miss these 6. Then fast for Shawwal as it’s only this month and you can make up missed ones after in sha Allah(God Willing)! Many times sisters have to make up for 15 and more Ramadan fasts because of sicknesses…which turns out to be a whole of fasting which is not doable for everyone. May Allah swt make it easy for everyone.
Dear Ustazah Maryam, Hadith about fasting of shawwal 6 days is a year reward and in another it is a lifetime reward. I am confused, please explain which one is correct? Jazakallah khair for always giving us your precious time
Both are correct my dear, requires some understanding, if you fast 6 days of shawwal after fasting Ramadan this year then you will get a reward of fasting for a whole year in sha Allah. If you are consistent on it and keep on fasting like this every year then you will get a reward as you have fasted for a lifetime …. كان كصوم الدهر SubhanAllah! Our merciful Lord, Such a great reward for fasting only 6 days of Shawwal. We must strive to fast these. We still got 10 more days of Shawwal. Fast! Show gratitude to The Merciful Lord.
